This Week’s Video — A Class About Making Book Trailers

This week’s video is a promotional piece for a class I’m giving at the Greater Nebraska Writers Conference put on by the Nebraska Writers Guild in Aurora, Nebraska in October. I’ll talk about creating book trailers using PowerPoint and Youtube.  Many great classes will be available. You don’t have to join the Guild to come conference, but the cost of conference is discounted for members. If you’re a Nebraska writer, I hope you’ll consider joining. It’s great to meet other writers and find your tribe. Check out the website to find out more.

This Week’s Winning Book Trailer

August 7, 2017

Book Title: The Secret World of Alaina Downs

Author’s Name: Rebecca Rynecki

Trailer Creator : Rime Giant

About the Author: A New Englander through and through, minus being born in Virginia of course, I currently live in the northwest corner of Connecticut. I graduated from Hollins University with a degree in History, my focus specifically on Ancient European. I worked as a librarian in Virginia and Connecticut for too many years to count, and now find my days spent trying to get some rest and drink all the coffee while I chase after my young son and toddler daughter.

About the Book: When 22-year-old Alaina stumbles into a world that she thought only existed in her mind, she is understandably a little bit freaked out. Who wouldn’t be? Characters that she had written down years ago are walking, and talking, and telling her that she is the only one who can save the princess and the kingdom of Isleen. Um…okay. As she travels down to the southern kingdom with Sir Gabriel, a really hot knight, she falls off horses, has an interaction with an evil witch, gets attacked by a sea creature, and even falls from lust into love.
