About the Book: Best friends Mina Baron and Jill Stone are desperate to get out of New York. Both are running from their own anxieties. Mina is a former singer who has just been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome. She is dodging calls from a European clinical drug trial and obsessing over her changing appearance.
Jill, meanwhile, is a writer trying to sell her latest pilot. She worries that her husband shows no appreciation for her work and struggles to keep her marriage alive.
The two decide that a girls’ weekend in the fabulous city of Montreal, Canada, is exactly what they need. They indulge in a suite at the Ritz-Carlton and prepare to explore everything the city has to offer.
During one magical three-day stint of bar-hopping, surprise encounters with old acquaintances, and some very tasty poutine, the two women will confront their true fears and find a way through them, together.
